A vibrant, youthful programme showcasing the colours of the LSO’s woodwind musicians.

String and wind players from the LSO collaborate in Beethoven’s youthful Septet, full of melodic excursions matched perfectly to the colours of the instruments.

Composed in England in the 1950s, Tippett’s Sonata for 4 horns exploits the full expressive range of the instrument, expertly recasting the quintessentially Romantic sound of the horn quartet for the 20th century.
