This Sunday event takes place in the pioneering new multi-arts venue, Ko: Host, located above Kommune in Sheffiled's recently transformed iconic Castle House. Whilst having a leisurely Sunday of music making, you can sample the many independant outlets in Kommune, offering speciality coffees, freshly prepared meals, artisanal baked goods and craft brews.

Music for wind instruments (Harmoniemusik) was regularly composed in the 18th and 19th centuries, and Beethoven’s Sextet and Octet are two of the finest examples of this genre. The Sextet was reviewed at its premiere as “distinguished by fine melodies and a wealth of new and surprising ideas”, and the Octet is just as lyrical. The Rondino is notable for featuring the horns as melodic instruments, with a memorable duet that closes this enjoyable work.
