    • Ring out, wild bells
  7. Go, lovely Rose - Eric Whitacre

Fauré, a religious sceptic, saw his Requiem as a ‘lullaby of death’; it contains some of his most sublime melodies. The rest of the programme for this concert acknowledges the passing seasons with Britten's exquisite Hymn to St Cecilia (in recognition of her saint’s day) and Poulenc's Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noël. We will also sing Eric Whitacre’s Go, lovely Rose and excerpts from Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year, following its great reception at our Summertime concert with Lesley Garrett.
