Stephanie and Marianna Kapsetaki were born to British/Greek parents in Crete in 1991. They have won 1st prize in 11 international and national competitions (for solo piano) including: Around the Globe International Piano Competition, International Music Competition of Imperial College London Music Society 2017, International Piano Competition of the Battersea Piano Festival, 'Young Greek Soloists of the Year 2011' Competition of the Athens Symphony Orchestra, Stratford & East London International Piano Competition, Chopin Interpretation Competition of Syggelaki Conservatory (Athens, 2010), and were also prize-winners of the Alkan-Zimmerman International Piano Competition, eMuse International Music Competition, International Konzerteum Competitions (2001 and 2004 in 4-hand categories) and the Unesco Music Competition.

They have been presented with more than 30 honorary awards and scholarships including: the New College Oxford Cultural Award (8 times), the Parisianou S.A. Award, the Hilda Martindale UK Award, the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine Award, Jannis Tzonker Young Musician Award, Citizens of Honour Awards, the Music Bursary Award of Imperial College London, the Unesco Medal, the Felix Marr Award etc., and scholarships from foundations including: Onassis,the Greek State, Leventis and Bodossakis.

They have performed over 160 concerts to date appearing at major venues such as: St John’s Smith Square (London), St George's (Bristol), Cheltenham Town Hall, Hellenic Cultural Centre (London), Athens Megaron, Pittville Pump Room (Cheltenham), Sir Edward Elgar Museum, and the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building (Oxford),and receive regular invitations from radio and television where their 3 CDs are played.

Their musical studies began at the age of nine and just one year later they were awarded 3rd prize at the 7th International Konzerteum piano competition in Athens and full 7-year scholarships from the Minoan Conservatory of Music Heraklion Crete, where at the age of 17 they received the Diploma of Piano Performance with highest honours, Distinction and 1st prize with teachers Kallia Anastasaki and Dimitris Toufexis and graduating with the highest grades from the Music School of Heraklion. They are currently studying in London with Prof Christopher Elton.

Both the twins have a passion and have achieved equal success in science. Marianna has a MBBS Hons (1st) in Medicine, a MSc (with Distinction) in Performing Arts Medicine from University College London and is undergoing a PhD in Neuroscience at Imperial College London. Stephanie has a BSc Hons (1st) in Biology from the University of Crete, a MSc and PhD from the University of Oxford and is currently a Post-doctoral researcher of Evolution and Cancer at Arizona State University and Cambridge University UK.
