The London Sylvan Ensemble are a dynamic and vibrant group performing a wide variety of chamber music. Repetoire has expanded from quintet to larger ensembles as the ensemble has developed over the last 11 years; since founder member Jay Bevan studied at Trinity College of Music and Tom Higgins took over as conductor in 2015.

The London Sylvan Ensemble has grown from strength to strength and regularly commissions new works. We are pleased to be performing premieres in this concert by acclaimed composers Lawrence Axelrod (USA) and Robert Matthew-Walker (UK).

We are also delighted to welcome guest artist Sarah Markham who will perform the stunning Concertino da camera on alto saxophone, which will complete an enjoyable, uplifting and innovative programme not to be missed.
