Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform in London as part of their concert tour of the UK. Their two-week tour includes concerts in Snape Maltings, Reading and London and this is their final concert! We’ve teamed up with the Otakar Kraus Music Trust and there will be a retiring collection raising money for this wonderful charity. Their mission is to ensure that every child and adult has access to affordable music therapy in the community, helping to improve their well-being and quality of life through creative and participatory music making.

Since its foundation in 1987, The Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra has become one of the flagship ensembles of the Zurich Music School and Conservatory, currently under the musical direction of conductor David Bruchez-Lalli. With a repertoire representing a great spectrum of styles and high technical demands from Baroque to contemporary music, the orchestra always includes monumental works in their programme, such as the most famous solo concerts or symphonies by Mozart, Brahms, Dvorák, Beethoven, Schumann, Tchaikovsky or Shostakovich while thoroughly taking into account all the components that make a well-balanced program, designed to appeal both to the musically experienced and to the not initiated audience. A concert tour like this provides young musicians with experiences and memories that will last forever and performing abroad means meeting people who share the same passion for music, regardless of different languages or cultures.
