The 2018 Yorkshire Dales Festival of English Music: Howells and the clavichord

Herbert Howells was one of the giants of twentieth-century British music, writing a wealth of choral works, chamber music, solo pieces, and large-scale orchestral works. In the magnificent setting of the Great Chamber of Bolton Castle, the acclaimed pianist Duncan Honeybourne plays Howells's complete music for clavichord, each piece dedicated to a friend or colleague of the composer. The concert forms part of the 2018 Yorkshire Dales Festival of English Music.
