The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra joins forces with the City of London Choir and a stellar line up of soloists for perhaps Mozart’s most famous choral work: his thrilling Requiem. Written during the final months of his life, Mozart’s Requiem is a poignant and emotional anticipation to his own death. From one musical genius to another, one of Britain’s foremost pianists, Leon McCawley, performs Mendelssohn’s enthralling Piano Concerto No 1, which is hard to believe was composed when the young Mendelssohn was only aged twenty-two.

This concert is promoted in association with the City of London Choir.
