Jess Gillam and friends perform an eclectic programme, including music by Michael Nyman, Chick Corea, George Gershwin and David Bowie. Beginning with one of the late Dmitri Hvorostovksy’s signature songs, Dark Eyes by Adalgiso Ferraris, the programme includes Bowie’s last UK top ten single, Where are we now, jazz pianist Chick Corea’s short and simple Children’s Songs, and Spanish saxophonist Perdo Iturralde’s Little Dance. There’s also music from film and stage by Michael Nyman and George Gershwin as well as part of a lost oboe concerto by Venetian baroque composer Marcello.

This event takes place in the Level 4 foyer and follows an earlier concert with the BBC Philharmonic.

Start time may vary depending on the finishing time of the earlier concert.

Free for BBC Philharmonic concert ticket holders.
