This is a great introduction to classical music, featuring local performers and some of the best talent across the country, timed to coincide with the Last Night of the Proms - a classical music festival!
This year's performers include the fabulous tenor, Jack Foley, returning to Proms and Prosecco in the Park by popular demand. Also performing is the stunning string quartet, String Infusion. This all-female quartet play electric and acoustic strings and are just as at home performing an Oasis chart hit as the classical favourites! They will be joined by the renowned Newport Male Voice Choir, A Choired Taste, Olivia-Mai and the Lymm Concert Band.
Headlining this year's event is the incredible Mary-Jess, British winner of the Chinese 'X-Factor'. Since winning that competition in front of a TV audience of 80 million people, Mary-Jess has recorded tracks for the Downton Abbey album, performed at the FA Cup, sung for royalty, and on numerous TV programmes. Mary-Jess will be rounding off her performance at Proms and Prosecco in the Park by leading the crowd in all the Last Night of the Proms favourites.
We'll have bars, including a stylish prosecco bar, street food stalls, retail stalls and free activities for children and with ample free parking its the perfect event for all the family.
