Peter Noke and Julian Hellaby make a welcome return visit to the CBSO Centre, playing a colourful selection of Music by Grainger, Liszt and Rachmaninov. This time they are joined by virtuoso husband-and-wife duet team Darren Leaper and Cecilia Xi who will perform Samuel Barber's attractive Souvenirs along with Ravel's ever-popular Mother Goose Suite. The concert ends with all four pianists, in ensemble at two pianos, playing, amongst other things, an arrangement of Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring and William Gillock's sparkling Champagne Toccata. A rare treat!
