In the early twentieth century, Ralph Vaughan Williams, George Butterworth, Percy Grainger and Cecil Sharp all set off across the byways of England to capture a treasury of song from the villagers they met. The five singers of Opus Anglicanum will recreate the tapestry of this folksong heritage, with narration by BBC Radio Four’s Zeb Soanes.

‘One of the most magical evenings I can remember.’
