Oxford proms in their eighth season feature Russian classics plus the delightful concertino for clarinet by Weber and an opening overture by our resident composer Tim Perkins.

We are delighted to welcome back star pianist Joycelyn Freeman who gave a brilliant performance of Liszt’s second concerto in last year’s Proms, to play Rachmaninov’s dramatic and passionate Second Piano Concerto, also clarinet virtuoso Catriona Scott who performed Mozart’s clarinet concerto in our opening concert in 2011.

The Upper Gallery seats at the Sheldonian Theatre will have cushioned seats and wooden backrests for this concert which will be the first to have the benfit of this improvement.
