Exceptional and eclectic cellist, Chris Grist, gives a rare solo recital in one of London's most exceptional churches. In his new duo with internationally acclaimed pianist, Daniel Grimwood, the pair explore the rich and rewarding cello repertoire with pieces from the top drawer of romantic chamber music, culminating in Rachmaninov's astounding and outstanding Cello Sonata.

Chris is in great demand both in the UK and abroad. His extraordinary versatility sees him perform repertoire from the baroque era to the present day. Chris is principal cellist and Artistic Director of one of Europe’s most acclaimed chamber ensembles, London Concertante, with whom he performs all over the world and has recorded numerous CDs released on labels including Chandos, CMG, Toccata Classics and Harmonia Mundi. He is founder and cellist of the much-lauded gypsy/tango band, ZUM, performing a unique fusion of folk music traditions from around the world and his performances have seen him perform on every continent and in more than a dozen countries.
