After their first appearance at the prestigious Grimeborn Festival at the Arcola Theatre in 2017 the Ensemble OrQuesta are now seen as an upcoming company in the operatic scene in the UK as stated by Tim Hochstrasse in his 4-star review to Armide for Live Theatre UK Reviews: "This ensemble is certainly one to watch, as indeed are the other operatic and symphonic enterprises for which Marcio da Silva is responsible."

Singers from all over the world apply to take part in the Ensemble OrQuesta Baroque Opera Academies. In their first edition in 2018, a revival of Marcio da Silva's production of Dido and Aeneas in a double bill with a brand new production of Handel's Acis and Galatea, will bring you two of the most performed operas in the English language.

Love, death, rage, pain and revenge felt by queens, fairies, witches, shepherds and demons; with the accompaniment of Ensemble OrQuesta's period instruments in a minimalist setting giving you the best of what baroque operas have to offer.
