A Weave of Words and music. An insightful and lively selection of Irish poetry from medieval to contemporary, with a focus on Seamus Heaney, plus some traditional and new songs.

Marj McDaid will read Irish poetry from the 6th to the 21st century, leavened with songs (some traditional, some her own settings) including vocal and instrumental contributions from the exciting young group Tell Tale Tusk - "clever, witty and deep".

Alongside works by Damain Gorman, Patrick Kavangh, Evan Boland etc, Marj will include some recently published poems by friends - the whole reflecting aspects of Irish identity.
