The accordion is the featured instrument in this performance by the virtuoso Miloš Milivojevic — “A hurricane of imaginative invention” (Hilary Finch, The Times). Presenting the accordion as a truly global instrument, Milivojevic takes us from Astor Piazzolla’s ever-popular Milonga del Angel to lesser known composers such as Franck Angelis, Viacheslav Semyonov and Viktor Vlasov. A world premiere from Robert Percy completes the set from this exceptional musician.

Borough New Music features an instrument in every Series, from the piano (Jose Menor, 3 October 2017), electronics (Ben Smith and Patricia Auchterlonie, 14 November 2017) and the voice (Mimi Doulton, 13 February 2018), to the toy piano (Kate Ryder, 20 March 2018), saxophone (Martin Speake, 17 April 2018), electric violin (Steve Bingham, 8 May 2018), and cello (Amy Jolly, 12 June 2018). All concerts take place on Tuesdays at 1pm at St George the Martyr Church SE1 1JA, and admission is free. Light refreshments are served afterwards.
