  1. Quintet for piano and strings in A minor Op 84 - Sir Edward Elgar
  2. Phantasy for piano quartet, in F sharp minor H 94 - Frank Bridge
  3. String Quartet No 3 Op 94 - Benjamin Britten

Martin Roscoe returns to collaborate with soloists from the Oxford Philharmonic, this time with an all British programme. Elgar's widely-admired Piano Quintet was composed at the end of the First World War and is marked by its expansive and dramatic style.

Accompanying this is Frank Bridge's refined and varied single-movement piano quartet. The concert concludes with a string quartet by Bridge's most famous pupil, Benjamin Britten. It is his last completed work, written at the culmination of an incredible life in music.
