This concert takes place in the London Bach Society's Bachfest "Bach and Luther: Masters and Servants".

In the first of two concerts featuring members of Steinitz Bach Players, we focus on another aspect of Lutheran family life curated by baroque oboist Anthony Robson. Music-making in the Bach family was commonplace and an integral part of their Lutheran lives. We return to the intimate setting of the 18th century-style salon at Wax Chandlers Hall for a re-imagined evening of chamber music by Bach and his great friend the prolific composer Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) whose 250th anniversary falls this year, a celebration of friendship.

The programme will also inlcude movements from a Bach cello suite and some pieces for harpsichord.
