Tickets "at the door" - until sold out
  1. Symphony No 47 in G - (Franz) Joseph Haydn
  2. Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No 5 in A, 'Turkish' K 219 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  3. Symphony No 29 in A major K 201 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Nicknamed ‘The Palindrome’ due to the 3rd movement (which is played forwards, then backwards!) and combined with Mozart's Symphony No 29, this concert is a perfect representation of the ‘classical’ era at its best. Mozart was a violinist of reasonable skill, and each of his violin concertos seems to have been originally composed for his own use (and then revisited for the more skilled violinist Antonio Brunetti); a perfect vehicle to showcase Bromsgrove International Young Musicians Competition winner, Emily Sun.

Pre-concert talk at 6.45
