Marking the centenary of Dr Francis Jackson, Gordon Stewart’s programme includes music by Jackson’s mentor, Edward Bairstow, two pieces written to celebrate his 90th birthday and three pieces by the man himself. The concert ends with Norman Cocker’s Tuba Tune, which was played by Dr Jackson on a best-selling record from York Minster.
