  1. Pelleas and Melisande Op 46 - Jean Sibelius
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 1 in B flat minor Op 23 - Pyotr Tchaikovsky
  3. Symphony No 1 in G minor Op 7 - Carl Nielsen

Sibelius's incidental music to Pelléas & Mélisande is a lyrical and atmospheric work that opens with the famous At the Castle Gate. Tchaikovsky's 1st piano concerto, one of the masterpieces of the piano repertoire, needs little introduction, and Nielsen's 1st symphony completes this attractive programme. Written in 1892 the beautiful melodies have a distinctive Danish style. Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra is one of the countries leading ensembles, Geoffrey Paterson won the Leeds Conductors' Competition in 2009.
