Howells’s Take him, earth, for cherishing and Britten’s Rejoice in the lamb represent leading British composition in the twentieth century. Bernstein’s epic and dramatic Chichester Psalms conclude the Reid Consort's first concert season, presented in an intimate chamber version for organ, percussion and harp.
