2017 is the centenary of the October Revolution and we observe this with a performance of the 12th symphony by Shostakovich. In the first half, we will hear Vaughan Williams’s beautiful and evocative Job, A Masque for Dancing. Southampton Concert Orchestra will begin the concert with Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, 'Songs of a Wayfarer', with Tenebrae’s Stephen Kennedy.
