  1. Symphony No 2 in C Op 61 - Robert Schumann
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 2 in B flat Op 83 - Johannes Brahms

Yefim Bronfman is championed by critics as a superlative exponent of Brahms. His sensational 2012 Proms performance of Brahms's Piano Concerto No 2 captivated London audiences and his debut at the 2017 Oxford Piano Festival performing the same work promises to be a stirring occasion for all lovers of the romantic piano genre.

Schumann's Symphony No 2, written during the onset of the illnesses that would eventually kill him, bears witness to an astonishing artistic fervour, recollecting the worlds of Bach and Beethoven while provoking a new dynasty of symphonic imagination.

Part of the 2017 Oxford Piano Festival.
