  1. Tragic Overture Op 81 - Johannes Brahms
  2. Concierto de Aranjuez - Joaquin Rodrigo
  3. Symphony No 3 in C minor, 'Organ' Op 78 - Camille Saint-Saëns

Brahms' magnificent Tragic Overture, which re-imagines the tempestuous character of the D minor Piano Concerto, begins the final concert of our Chatham season. We are excited to welcome another renowned musician from Kent, the guitarist Andrew Keeping, to perform Rodrigo's ever-popular Concierto de Aranjuez. This work is one of the most significant pieces of music written by a Spanish composer in the early 20th century, and thsi is the first time that CRSO has performed it; the members are really looking forward to it. The CRSO is joined by Rochester Cathedral's Director of Music, Scott Farrell, in Saint-Saens' magnificent 3rd Symphony (the "Organ" Symphony). Scott will perform on an instrument supplied by well-known local organ specialist Douglas Henn-Macrae; what an inspiring way to end our season!
