The festival aims to bring together the masterpieces of instrumental and vocal-instrumental music from different geographical areas to the heart of European continent.
This year's edition, the sixth edition, which takes place from September 14-21, is devoted to German composers. The 2008 Sacrum Profanum Festival will be a large-scale presentation of the 20th century German composers' repertoire, exposing the pivotal moments and the contested terms such as classics and classical music.
