To celebrate the Halle’s 150th Anniversary we welcome this great British orchestra back to Carlisle. The programme opens with Elgar’s evocation of the Worcestershire landscape Introduction & Allegro, followed by Beethoven’s magisterial ’Piano Concerto No 3’, concluding with Sibelius’s dramatic Night Ride & Sunrise and his stirring Symphony No 5 with it’s extraordinary dramatic finale. |
