Programme :Sergey Rachmaninov
1:Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 2 in C minor, Op 18
Note: We are delighted to welcome Freddy Kempf back to the series, playing probably the most popular of all piano concertos. Khachaturian’s Spartacus Suite is still fondly remembered as the theme tune from the 1980’s TV series The Onedin Line. The music tells a different story though, that of the rebel slave Spartacus in ancient Rome.
