Note: Like the paths in a labyrinth which eventually lead to its heart, so the lives of three musicians led through twists and turns to a common goal and a shared vision: savadi - a Latvian term which may be roughly translated as in a different way.

From very different corners of Europe, the baroque harpist Marie Bournisien (France) and the two sopranos Kristine Jaunalksne (Latvia) and Ulrike Hofbauer (Germany) met in 2001 while studying early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland.
